Description
This piano concerto uses the traditional forms of the classical piano concerto. The
first movement, Agitato, is a sonata form. The first set of themes introduced by the piano and the orchestra constitute the main material used throughout the movement and are treated in a contrapuntal manner in the development section. The lyrical second movement, is in a somewhat freer sonata form and gives the clarinet the status of second soloist in continuous dialogue with the piano. The Rondo finale gives the concerto a much lighter carefree ending
