John Boyle was born in Los Angeles, California in 1952. He completed studies for his masters degree in composition in 1993 at the University of Montana, where he studied with Donald O. Johnston.
His compositions range from orchestral works to pieces for piano solo. His symphonic works have been performed and recorded worldwide, the most recent being the "Concertino for Piano and Orchestra," premiering in March, 2013. The premiere was performed by the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra in Fort Worth, Texas, and pianist David Rodriguez de la Pena, director of the Conservatory of Music of Mexico in Mexico City. |
Mr. Boyle has produced concerts of chamber and orchestral in the United States of America and Mexico. He was a music professor in the Arts Faculty of the Autonomous University of Baja California, in Ensenada, BC. Mexico, as well as director of the Academy of Music Interamericas, in La Paz, Baja California Sur. John serves as Executive Director for Ars Nova Press.
