Description
I. Learning to Walk
This programmatic piece was written while watching my first born son as he was learning to walk. The music aurally depicts the wobbles, falls and stabilizing factors we all go through while learning to walk.
II. Aposiopesis
No explanation necessary.
III. The Void
This piece forms the thematic basis for the third movement of the cantata, Requiem for the Unborn, published in 1995.
IV. Motion
These 4 miniatures are designed to provide contrast to a recital setting, and Motion helps it finish off with some dazzle.
