At the time of writing Connotation, Somesh Yatham was a 14 year old about to attend Round Rock High School. Currently, he is now 15 approaching his sophomore year. He started composition only since late 2017, but he indulged in music long before that, playing piano since he was 7 and playing percussion since he was 11. His first piece was played by his peers in the 8th grade and early on his Freshman year, he had the opportunity for another piece to be played by Tetractys courtesy of Golden Hornet. He also widely considers performance to be just as important as he has received regional and state recognition through performing various percussion pieces. His interest in music spiraled him into creating and improvising his own music that a year later, is now fledged out into the hands of the Austin Symphony Orchestra. He was also a member of two national honor groups as well as a state qualifier for DECA and Model UN.
