In August of 1952 during the war in Korea at the request of Commanding General P.D Ginder of the 45th "Thunderbird" Division of the U.S. Army, Sgt. Donald O. Johnston and Cpl. Martin Solomon prepared the THUNDERBIRD MARCH and THUNDERBIRD TOAST, the Division's marching music and song. The marching music and song were used extensively at military parades, honors and award ceremonies throughout the war.
